Chapter 4

Aankh unki ladi yun meri aankh se,

Dekh kar yeh Ladai, maza aa gaya…

Mere rashke qamar, tune pehli nazar,

Jab nazar se milayi, maza aa gaya…

The morning felt warm and refreshing on the college campus, as a soft breeze moved gently through the trees, carrying with it a calm yet lively energy. It was the first day of the new semester, and the entire campus seemed to come alive with excitement.

New students walked around nervously, old friends reunited with laughter, and conversations filled the air, creating a perfect balance between chaos and comfort. Near the parking area, Aaditya and Nikhil stood casually talking, their attention drifting lazily across the campus—until the sound of a sleek black BMW entering the gate caught their notice.

Almost instantly, heads turned.

Everyone knew that car.

“Rathore’s,” Aaditya muttered under his breath, glancing at Nikhil.

The car came to a smooth halt, and in the very next moment, Reyansh, Kiara, and Tanvi stepped out. For a brief second, it felt as if time itself had slowed down.

It was Tanvi’s first day in college, and unknowingly, she had already become the center of attention. Dressed in a black crop top paired with high-waist jeans, she looked effortlessly stunning. The black shade enhanced her fair complexion, while her long, straight hair flowed freely around her shoulders. There was something about her presence—something soft, graceful, yet undeniably striking… almost unreal.

A few boys nearby couldn’t help but stare.

Reyansh noticed.

His jaw tightened slightly as his sharp gaze shifted toward them, cold and warning, enough to make them instantly look away without a second thought.

Meanwhile, Aaditya and Nikhil walked toward them.

“Good morning, guys,” Aaditya said with an easy smile.

“Good morning,” the Rathore siblings replied together.

Aaditya’s attention then shifted to Tanvi as he extended his hand.

“Hi, Tanvi. I’m Aaditya… you can call me Aadi.”

Tanvi gave a small, polite smile before shaking his hand.

“Nice to meet you.”

“So… how does it feel?” Aaditya asked casually.

“First day of college?”

Tanvi nodded softly.

“Hmm… good.”

Before the moment could settle—

“Hello everyone!”

A cheerful voice broke in.

Aarohi and Yuvraj walked toward them, their energy instantly adding a new spark to the group.

“Hello,” everyone greeted back.

“Ishika kaha hai?” Nikhil asked.

(Where is Ishika?)

“Bhaiya, woh aa rahi hai. Gate par hi hai… call aa gaya tha, attend karke aa rahi hai,” Yuvraj replied.

(She’s coming, she’s at the gate… got a call, she’s attending it and coming.)

“Okay,” Nikhil nodded.

Then he turned slightly toward Aaditya.

“Aadi, this is Aarohi—Rudraksh ki sister—and Yuvi, her brother.”

“Hello guys, nice to meet you,” Aaditya said casually.

“Same here,” Aarohi replied with a smile.

Just then—

Ishika walked toward them.

Aaditya’s gaze shifted instantly, as if pulled by something he didn’t understand. She was wearing a black jacket over a white crop top paired with jeans, her hair tied neatly in a high ponytail. She walked while scrolling through her phone, completely unaware of the attention she was drawing.

“Hello everyone,” she said, finally looking up.

“Aadi, she’s Ishu… my sister,” Nikhil introduced.

For a brief second, Aaditya froze.

His eyes fixed on her.

“Hello…” Ishika repeated.

“H-hello,” Aaditya replied, still slightly lost, as if his mind had paused for a moment.

On the other side, Ishika and Aarohi’s attention shifted toward Tanvi.

“Yaar, yeh kitni sundar lag rahi hai na…” Ishika whispered softly.

(She looks so beautiful, right…)

“Haan…” Aarohi replied absentmindedly—

her eyes fixed somewhere else.

On Reyansh.

“I’m talking about Tanvi,” Ishika said, lightly tapping her head.

“Haan, main bhi Tanu ki hi baat kar rahi hoon,” Aarohi said quickly, rubbing her head.

(Yeah, I was talking about Tanvi too.)

Ishika narrowed her eyes, clearly not convinced.

“Behen, tu Reyansh bhaiya ko kyun ghoor rahi hai?”

(Why are you staring at Reyansh?)

Aarohi let out a dramatic sigh.

“Kya karu… aankhein hi nahi hat rahi.”

(What do I do… I just can’t look away.)

“He looks so handsome… I mean, kya matlab dono bhai-behen chalte phirte perfection hai!”

(I mean both brother and sister look like walking perfection!)

Ishika rolled her eyes at her antics.

Meanwhile, Aaditya was still staring at Ishika, completely lost in his own thoughts. Reyansh noticed this instantly and stepped closer, lightly tapping his shoulder.

“Bhai… Nikhil maarenga tujhe,” he said in a low voice.

(Bro… Nikhil will kill you.)

“Aise ghoor raha hai uski behen ko… thodi sharam kar.”

(You’re staring at his sister like that… have some shame.)

Aaditya didn’t even react properly.

“Yaar… what can I do?” he said honestly.

“I just… can’t take my eyes off her.”

Reyansh sighed, shaking his head slightly.

“Bro, marne ka kaam kyun kar raha hai?”

(Why are you inviting trouble?)

“Band kar ghoorna. Kisi ne dekh liya toh gaya tu.”

(Stop staring. If someone notices, you’re done.)

Aaditya ran a hand through his hair, still distracted.

“I don’t know why… but I’m feeling strange.”

“I just… want to keep looking at her.”

On the other side, Aarohi, while talking to Tanvi and Ishika, kept stealing glances at Reyansh. And this time—

Reyansh noticed.

Their eyes met.

For a brief second, Aarohi froze completely before quickly looking away, moving closer to Tanvi and pretending to focus on the conversation.

Reyansh, however, simply ignored it and turned back toward Aaditya.

“Rudraksh kahan hai? Aaya nahi abhi tak?” he asked.

(Where is Rudraksh? Hasn’t he come yet?)

“Arey, woh toh kab ka aa gaya,” Aaditya replied.

(He already came.)

“He went to the library… kuch books lene.”

(He went to the library to get some books.)

Reyansh nodded slightly.

Just then, the faint sound of the bell echoed through the campus, signaling the start of classes. The group exchanged quick glances before slowly beginning to move toward their respective classrooms.

A new semester had begun.

The first day of the new semester had finally begun, and the entire college campus was filled with a fresh, lively energy. Classrooms buzzed with conversations, laughter echoed through the corridors, and new faces blended with familiar ones, creating a vibrant atmosphere.

Inside one of the classrooms, Aarohi, Ishika, and Tanvi were seated together, while Yuvraj stood a little away, already busy bonding with a group of boys as if he had known them forever. Tanvi’s eyes moved toward the front of the class, noticing the teacher still hadn’t arrived. After a moment of hesitation, she spoke softly.

“Guys… can we go to the library? Abhi tak teacher nahi aaye hain.”

(The teacher still hasn’t come.)

Ishika immediately leaned back in her chair, making a dramatic face.

“Tanu baby… abhi baatein karte hain na. Free time mein library kaun jaata hai?”

(Let’s just talk right now. Who even goes to the library in free time?)

Aarohi stretched lazily, clearly not interested.

“Tanu, you should go… mujhe bahut aalas aa raha hai.”

(You should go, I’m feeling too lazy.)

Ishika smirked and added,

“Haan Tanu baby, tu ja… aur us kutte Yuvi ko bhi le ja saath.”

(Yeah, you go… and take that idiot Yuvi with you.)

Tanvi instinctively looked toward Yuvraj, but he was too busy to notice anything around him. Letting out a small breath, she nodded softly.

“Okay.”

Without disturbing them further, she quietly stood up and walked out of the classroom.

The corridor outside felt calmer compared to the noisy classroom.

Tanvi walked slowly toward the library, her steps soft and unhurried, as if she was slipping into her own quiet world. The library welcomed her with its familiar silence, rows of neatly arranged books, and a peaceful atmosphere that instantly felt comforting.

She carefully picked a few books, completed the formalities, and soon stepped out, already flipping through one of them. Her attention was completely absorbed in the pages, her fingers lightly turning them as she walked.

And then—

She collided with someone.

The impact was sudden. The books slipped from her hands and scattered across the floor. Startled, she looked up, her breath catching for a moment as her eyes met his.

Soft hazel-brown met deep dark brown.

For a second, everything around them faded into silence.

“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice calm, carrying a hint of concern.

Tanvi’s throat went dry. Words refused to come out, so she simply nodded.

He immediately bent down, picking up her books carefully before handing them back to her.

“I’m really sorry… mera dhyaan nahi tha.”

(I wasn’t paying attention.)

There was something composed about him. Calm. Grounded.

Looking at her again, he asked gently,

“You’re a new student, right?”

Tanvi nodded again.

A small smile appeared on his face as he extended his hand.

“I’m Rudraksh Singhania.”

After a brief hesitation, Tanvi placed her hand in his, returning the handshake softly.

“What’s your name?” he asked.

Tanvi parted her lips, about to speak—

But before she could say anything, a firm voice interrupted.

“Tanvi Rathore.”

Both of them turned instantly.

Reyansh.

He walked toward them with his usual calm yet commanding presence, his gaze briefly landing on Rudraksh before shifting to Tanvi.

“Rudraksh,” he said in a controlled tone,

“She’s Tanu… my sister.”

There was a slight pause before he added,

“She’s an introvert. She’s not comfortable talking to strangers.”

Then he looked at Tanvi.

“Tanu, he’s Rudraksh… my best friend.”

Rudraksh understood immediately and gave a light smile.

“Nice to meet you, Tanu.”

He stepped back slightly.

“Guys, I’ll leave now. I have some important work.”

Without stretching the moment further, he walked away.

A brief silence followed.

Reyansh’s gaze shifted back to Tanvi, his tone softer now.

“Kya hua? Tum theek ho?”

(What happened? Are you okay?)

Tanvi nodded gently.

“Yes… bhaiya, I’m okay.”

Reyansh observed her for a moment, making sure she really meant it. Then he exhaled slightly.

“Theek hai. Class mein jao… and take care.”

(Alright. Go to your class and take care.)

Tanvi nodded again, holding her books a little closer as she quietly walked past him.

Reyansh stayed there for a moment, watching her leave.

His expression calm as always—

But his eyes held something deeper.

Meanwhile, in the BBA third semester classroom, the atmosphere was relatively calm compared to the chaos outside. A few students had already settled into their seats, some chatting casually while others had started revising notes.

Among them, Nikhil sat at his usual place, completely absorbed in his books. His focus was steady, his expression serious, as he flipped through the pages of Business Statistics, occasionally making small notes, clearly lost in his own academic world.

A few minutes later, a girl from the class walked in and quietly took the seat beside him.

“Nikhil… can you help me with something?” she asked softly.

Nikhil looked up from his book and adjusted his glasses slightly.

“Yes, of course. What query?” he replied calmly.

“Woh… mujhe Business Statistics ke kuch concepts samajh nahi aa rahe,” she said, hesitating a little.

(I’m not able to understand some concepts of Business Statistics.)

Nikhil nodded without any hesitation and turned his notebook slightly toward her.

“Okay, dekho… yeh jo topic hai na, isme basic concept samajhna important hai,” he began explaining patiently.

(Okay, look… in this topic, understanding the basic concept is important.)

His voice was calm and clear as he explained everything step by step, making sure she understood. However, as he continued, the girl started leaning a little too close, occasionally brushing her hand against his arm, trying to get comfortable in a way that felt unnecessary.

Nikhil noticed.

And instantly felt uncomfortable.

His words slowed slightly, his posture stiffening as he tried to maintain distance without making it obvious. But the girl didn’t seem to notice—or maybe she ignored it.

Just then—

Kiara entered the classroom.

Her eyes instinctively scanned the room, and within seconds, she noticed Nikhil. More importantly—she noticed his expression.

The slight uneasiness.

The discomfort.

And that was enough.

Without wasting a second, she walked straight toward them.

“Excuse me, this is my seat,” Kiara said firmly, her tone polite but clear.

“Can you please leave? I need to talk to Nikhil.”

The girl looked at her, slightly confused.

“Can you give me some time? I’m asking him about a few problems,” she replied.

Kiara didn’t even blink.

“Haan toh? Woh kya tumhara nokar hai jo tumhari queries solve karne baitha hai?” she said, her tone sharp now.

(So what? Is he your servant that he’ll sit here solving all your queries?)

“He was busy. Aur class mein aur bhi students hain—unse pooch lo.”

(He was busy. There are other students in the class—ask them.)

There was a brief silence.

The girl understood the message.

“Okay… I’ll leave,” she said quietly before getting up and moving away.

Kiara calmly took the seat beside Nikhil, as if nothing had happened, and opened her book.

For a moment, Nikhil just looked at her.

Then he said softly,

“Thank you.”

Kiara didn’t even look up.

“Thank you for what?” she replied casually.

Nikhil smiled slightly.

“You always stand up for me… so, for that.”

Kiara finally glanced at him, a faint smile appearing on her lips.

“Oh please, Nikhil. We’re friends,” she said lightly.

“It’s my pleasure. Don’t say thank you and all that.”

Nikhil chuckled softly, the earlier awkwardness slowly fading away.

“Still… I mean it.”

Kiara shook her head, pretending to focus on her book again.

“Focus on your studies, Mr. Intelligent.”

“Ji madam,” Nikhil replied playfully.

And just like that—

The moment turned normal again.

The two of them continued talking casually, discussing studies, sharing small jokes, and slipping back into their usual comfortable rhythm—

As if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, in the first semester classroom, the lecture had just ended and the teacher had walked out, leaving behind a wave of chatter and movement. Students relaxed instantly—some stood up, some gathered in small groups, and some simply stayed seated, scrolling through their phones.

Aarohi and Ishika were sitting together, completely lost in their gossip, laughing softly and whispering about random things.

Yuvraj wasn’t in the class at the moment—he had stepped out with a few boys, probably still busy chatting somewhere in the corridor.

In the middle of all this, Tanvi sat quietly on her bench, slightly away from everyone. Her fingers rested lightly on her notebook, but her attention wasn’t really on it. She looked calm from the outside, but being alone in a new place still felt unfamiliar.

Behind her, near the corner of the classroom, a group of boys stood leaning against the wall, their eyes fixed on her in a way that was anything but normal.

“Who is she, yaar… damn, she’s hot,” one of them muttered, his tone shameless.

They kept staring at her, exchanging smirks, their expressions making Tanvi uncomfortable. She felt it—their gaze, their presence. A strange uneasiness settled in her chest. She tried to ignore them, slightly adjusting her position, hoping they would stop.

But they didn’t.

Instead, one of them stepped forward.

Tanvi stiffened as he walked toward her, his footsteps slow and deliberate. He stopped right beside her bench, leaning slightly closer than necessary, invading her space.

“Hello, beautiful… what’s your name?” he said, a smirk playing on his lips.

Tanvi immediately tried to pull her hand away from the desk, but before she could react properly, he grabbed her wrist tightly.

Her breath hitched.

Fear flashed across her face.

“Hey… I’m Ravi Verma,” he said arrogantly, tightening his grip slightly.

“Mrs. Verma ka beta hoon… samjhi? Mujhe ignore karne ki aadat mat daal.”

(I’m Mrs. Verma’s son… understand? Don’t get used to ignoring me.)

Tanvi struggled lightly, trying to free her hand.

“Please… chhodiye,” she said softly, her voice trembling.

(Please… let go.)

But instead of loosening his grip, he leaned even closer.

And that was it.

Before the situation could go any further—

A strong force suddenly pulled his hand away.

Tanvi’s wrist was freed instantly.

Ravi stumbled a step back.

It was Ishika.

Her playful expression was completely gone.

Her eyes were sharp. Cold.

“How dare you touch her without her permission?” she said, her voice firm and controlled, but filled with anger.

Ravi looked at her, clearly offended.

“Who the hell are you?” he snapped.

“Aur tumhari himmat kaise hui mujhse aise baat karne ki Tum Jaanti Nahi main kon hu ?”

(And how dare you talk to me like that you don't know who I am ?)

Before Ishika could respond, Aarohi stepped forward, crossing her arms.

“Kyun? Tumhe khud nahi pata tum kaun ho?” she said sarcastically.

(What? Don’t you even know who you are?)

“Shut up, both of you!” Ravi shouted, losing his temper.

“You have no idea who I am… aur main tum logon ke saath kya kar sakta hoon.”

(And what I’m capable of doing to you.)

Ishika let out a small, mocking laugh, taking a step closer.

“Achha? Toh dikha na… kya kar sakta hai tu.”

(Oh really? Then show me what you can do.)

Ravi’s anger snapped completely.

“You—!”

He raised his hand to slap Ishika.

But before his hand could reach her—

Ishika caught it mid-air.

Her grip was tight.

Unbreakable.

For a second, Ravi struggled—

But the next moment—

She twisted his wrist sharply.

A loud crack echoed through the classroom.

Ravi screamed.

His body bent slightly as he clutched his wrist, his face turning pale from the sudden pain.

But Ishika wasn’t done.

Before he could even react properly, she punched him straight in the face.

Blood spilled from his nose as he stumbled back, completely losing his balance.

The boys who were standing with him froze in fear.

Not one of them dared to step forward.

The entire classroom had gone silent.

Every eye was on Ishika.

She stepped closer, her expression dangerously calm now.

“Aage se kisi bhi ladki se badtameezi karne se pehle dus baar soch lena.”

(Next time, think ten times before misbehaving with any girl.)

“Warna agli baar chalne layak bhi nahi bachoge.”

(Or next time, you won’t even be able to walk.)

She paused, her gaze darkening.

“Aur meri friend ko dobara touch karne ki himmat mat karna… aaj sirf haath toda hai.”

(And don’t you dare touch my friend again… today I only broke your hand.)

“Agli baar… tumhe tod dungi.”

(Next time… I’ll break you.)

Tanvi stood there, completely frozen.

Her face pale, her eyes slightly wide, her hands trembling.

Fear… shock… everything at once.

The moment Ishika turned toward her, her expression softened instantly.

“Tanu baby… are you okay?” she asked gently, placing her hand on her shoulder.

Tanvi nodded slowly, still shaken.

“Haan…”

(Yes…)

Just then—

The classroom door opened.

A few boys entered, along with Mrs. Verma and the discipline head of the college.

The moment Mrs. Verma saw Ravi—

Her expression changed completely.

“Ravi! Yeh kya hua tumhe? Kisne kiya yeh?” she said in shock.

(What happened to you? Who did this?)

One of his friends pointed directly at Ishika.

Mrs. Verma’s face hardened as she glared at her.

“How dare you! College mein aise gundagardi karti ho?”

(How dare you! Is this how you behave in college?)

“Sir, dekhiye… is ladki ne mere bete ki kya haalat kar di!”

(Sir, look what this girl has done to my son!)

The discipline head stepped forward, his expression strict.

“Miss Ishika Maheshwari… what is this behavior?”

“It’s your first day, and you’ve already broken a student’s hand.”

Ishika didn’t step back.

“Sir, he was misbehaving with my friend,” she said firmly.

“Since the beginning, he was staring at her and trying to touch her inappropriately.”

The discipline head turned toward Tanvi.

“Miss Tanvi Rathore… is she telling the truth?”

Tanvi swallowed slightly, then nodded.

“Yes sir… he was trying to touch me. I felt uncomfortable.”

A brief silence followed.

Then—

The discipline head turned toward Mrs. Verma.

“Mrs. Verma… pehle apne bete ko ladkiyon se baat karna sikhaiye.”

(First, teach your son how to behave with girls.)

“Give him some manners.”

Mrs. Verma’s anger faded instantly.

“I’m sorry, sir,” she said quietly.

He then looked back at Ishika.

“And Miss Ishika… I’m letting you go with a warning.”

“I hope I don’t hear any complaints again. College rules break karna allowed nahi hai.”

(Breaking college rules is not allowed.)

“Yes, sir,” Ishika replied calmly.

Within moments, the teachers left the classroom, and Ravi was taken to the hospital by his friends.

Slowly, the noise returned.

But the atmosphere had changed completely.

And in the middle of it—

Tanvi stood there, still shaken.

While beside her—

Ishika stood strong.

Like a shield.

After some time

The college canteen was buzzing with noise—students laughing, plates clinking, and conversations blending into a chaotic rhythm.

At one of the corner tables, Reyansh, Rudraksh, and Aaditya were sitting together, casually eating and talking. Aaditya was mid-sentence about something random, while Rudraksh listened calmly, occasionally nodding, and Reyansh sat relaxed yet observant, his presence as composed as ever.

A few minutes later, Kiara and Nikhil walked in as their classes had just ended. Their eyes quickly found the group, and without wasting time, they walked toward them and took their seats.

Kiara glanced around the table.

“Guys, yeh humare naye juniors kahan reh gaye?” she asked casually.

(Where are our new juniors?)

Reyansh leaned back slightly.

“Maybe unke lectures chal rahe honge,” he replied calmly.

(Maybe their lectures are still going on.)

Before the conversation could continue, a boy hurried toward them, slightly out of breath.

“Nikhil… your sister broke a boy’s hand,” he said quickly.

“He was a professor’s son.”

For a second—

Everything went silent.

“What? But why?” Nikhil frowned, running a hand through his hair.

“Oh god… what am I supposed to do with this girl…”

The boy continued,

“Actually… he was misbehaving with a girl… I think her name was—yeah, Tanvi.”

The moment Tanvi’s name was mentioned—

Reyansh’s expression changed.

Completely.

His relaxed posture stiffened, his eyes turning sharp as he looked straight at the boy.

“Who was he?” Reyansh asked, his voice low but dangerous.

“Mrs. Verma ka son… Ravi,” the boy replied.

A sudden anger flashed across Reyansh’s face.

“How dare he touch my sister…” he muttered, his jaw clenching.

“I’ll kill him.”

“Reyansh, relax,” the boy quickly added.

“Ishika ne already uski haalat kharab kar di hai… usse hospital le gaye hain.”

(Ishika has already beaten him badly… he’s been taken to the hospital.)

Reyansh took a deep breath, trying to control himself.

His fists slowly unclenched.

“Reyansh, relax. Usne jo kiya, usse saza mil gayi,” Kiara said calmly.

(He got punished for what he did.)

“Yeah bro, everything’s handled now,” Aaditya added.

The boy shook his head slightly, still impressed.

“Waise… Nikhil, your sister is really dangerous,” he said.

Nikhil let out a small sigh, shaking his head.

“Yeh toh kuch bhi nahi hai… bachpan se gundi hai woh,” he said casually.

(This is nothing… she’s been like this since childhood.)

“Kaafi baar aise kaam kar chuki hai.”

(She’s done this many times.)

Aaditya raised an eyebrow.

“What? Matlab har kisi ke saath aisa hi karti hai kya?”

(She does this with everyone?)

“Arey nahi yaar,” Nikhil replied.

“Agar koi galat harkat kare ya kisi ke saath misbehave kare… tab usse gussa aa jaata hai.”

(No… only when someone misbehaves or does something wrong, she loses her temper.)

“Hmm… makes sense,” Aaditya nodded.

Just then—

Tanvi, Ishika, Aarohi, and Yuvraj walked into the canteen.

The moment they reached the table—

Their expressions were noticeably pale.

The earlier energy was gone.

Seeing them, the boy stood up.

“Okay guys, I’ll leave… you continue,” he said before walking away.

Reyansh’s attention immediately shifted to Tanvi.

“Tanvi…” his voice softened slightly,

“are you okay?”

Tanvi simply nodded.

She didn’t say a word.

That was enough for him to understand—

She was still shaken.

Kiara quickly tried to lighten the mood.

“Okay guys, chalo kuch order karte hain… mujhe bhook lagi hai,” she said.

(Let’s order something, I’m hungry.)

“I’ll go,” Aaditya said, getting up.

As he left, the tension returned.

Nikhil looked at Ishika, his tone now serious.

“Ishu… what’s this behavior? Tujhe kya zarurat thi itni maar-pitai karne ki?”

(What was the need to beat him like that?)

“Hum mein se kisi ko bol deti… we would have handled it.”

Reyansh also spoke, his voice controlled but firm.

“He’s right. Tumhe beech mein padne ki zarurat nahi thi.”

(You didn’t need to get involved.)

“Agar baat badh jaati toh tumhe rusticate bhi kar sakte the… main usse apne tareeke se handle karta.”

(If things got worse, you could have been rusticated… I would’ve handled him my way.)

Ishika looked at them, disbelief and anger mixing in her expression.

“Toh kya karti main, bhaiya?” she said, her voice rising slightly.

(So what should I have done?)

“He kept trying to touch her… that whole group was staring at her in a disgusting way.

“You have no idea how much I controlled myself the whole day…”

Her voice trembled slightly—but not with fear.

With anger.

“Jab usne force kiya… tab mera control chala gaya.”

(When he forced her… I lost control.)

Silence.

Heavy.

“What?” Reyansh’s anger returned instantly.

“How dare he…”

“Bas ek baar mil jaye…” he muttered.

“I swear I’ll kill him.”

“Reyansh, calm down,” Rudraksh finally spoke, his tone steady.

“Usse already college se rusticate kar diya gaya hai uske behavior ke liye.”

(He’s already been expelled from college for his behavior.)

“Just relax.”

Slowly—

Reyansh leaned back.

Trying to control himself.

At the same moment—

Rudraksh reached for a bowl on the table.

And so did Tanvi.

Their hands touched.

Softly.

Just a brief brush of fingers—

But enough.

Tanvi looked up.

Their eyes met.

For a second—

Everything else faded.

Rudraksh immediately pulled his hand back slightly, maintaining distance.

“Are you fine?” he asked gently.

Tanvi nodded again.

Still silent.

But this time—

A little calmer.

Soon, Aaditya returned with the food, and everyone settled down.

Conversations slowly started again, though the earlier lightness was missing. Tanvi sat quietly, occasionally glancing toward Rudraksh, her thoughts somewhere else.

Aaditya, on the other hand, couldn’t help but look at Ishika again and again, completely distracted.

Aarohi sat beside them, still stealing admiring glances at Reyansh, while Yuvraj remained busy with his phone, casually eating without caring much about anything else.

Kiara ate peacefully, observing everything without saying much.

Rudraksh continued talking to Reyansh, though his tone remained calm as always.

Nikhil was busy on his phone, reading something, lost in his own thoughts.

And Ishika—

Sat quietly for once.

Lost somewhere within herself.

The table was full of people.

Voices.

Movement.

Yet—

Between them all—

There were unspoken emotions.

Unasked questions.

And a silence…

That said far more than words ever could.
